My Norwegian inspiration... (guest)

Petter A. Stordalen

... Petter A. Stordalen

According to me, Petter is one of Norway’s greatest man. He is a true entrepreneur. He is extremely positive, dedicated, disciplined and solution-oriented. He is a big inspiration for us. If you haven’t read his book “Let me tell you my secret”, do it now!

Stordalen says a lot of brilliant things but there are 3 quotes from him that I would like to share with you today;

“And if you wonder how serious I am when I talk about filling your head with positive thoughts: I only watch one type of movies. The ones with happy endings.”  - Petter A. Stordalen

We all have our own ways of thinking positive and there is no right or wrong as long as it works. Anna and I work every day to fill our life with positive things and its super important for us. It’s what our brand is built upon and it’s what we try to live by. I do also only watch movies with happy endings. Even though I know from the start how it’s going to end, I love it and it makes me smile every time. It leaves me with a good feeling and that is what I need to keep on going.

"The truth is that I don't have any more energy than anyone else. I might get up earlier in the morning than most, but I go to bed earlier too. I am almost never at a party past midnight. I greet all I meet, make sure I am visible then use the "toilet-excuse" and go home and to bed. That way, everyone has seen that I was at the party, but nobody noticed when I left.

There is nothing that is called 'hero all day, hero all night'

You have to choose.”  - Petter A. Stordalen

Both Anna and I get this question often, “How do you do it all?”. We can’t give you any better answer then Mr Stordalen. It’s all about priorities. You can’t do it all and you have to choose where you want to put your energy. Of course I would love to hang out with my friends more, go out for a beer or two every other night, dance through the weekend nights and sleep in. But you can’t do that every day and expect success.

“Forget the perfect. In a world where everything goes faster than before you don’t have the time to wait for the perfect. What is perfect today can be outdated in a few weeks. You have to get started. You must act now.” - Petter A. Stordalen

Once again, I couldn’t say it better myself. If you have an idea
- Do it now! Try it now! Talk to someone now!
If you fail, get back up on your feet and try again.

Thank you for reading and remember to stay positive
